Getting started on Arbitrum

Arbitrum is built by Offchain Labs, which consists of world-class engineers, researchers, and Ethereum experts. Arbitrum One main-net launched on the 31st of August 2021 and serves as an optimistic layer-2 rollup on Ethereum.

Arbitrum uses ETH to pay for transactions, and you will also need USDT to participate in the Narwhal ecosystem, either as a liquidity provider or trader.

If you don't have any assets on Arbitrum, you can transfer funds from other layer 1 blockchains using the following bridges:

  1. Official Arbitrum Bridge (Ethereum to Arbitrum): https://bridge.arbitrum.io/

  2. Stargate Finance: https://stargate.finance/

Most centralized exchanges also support withdrawing USDT or ETH directly to Arbitrum. When withdrawing, ensure that the selected network is "Arbitrum One".

If you need to exchange assets for USDT or Arbitrum, you can use the following decentralized exchanges on Arbitrum:
